Shruthiiiii! I understand only too well just how you feel physically. I’ve walked that path many times, I didn’t listen until my spine almost gave out. And I’m a somatic therapist! The reason why we do this? The patterns driving us to ignore our actual capacity run deep; they are usually running from an out of date perspective and the body knows these maladaptive patterns can’t be superceded until you understand them from the soma. Not the mind.

They’re hard lessons to learn, but in the listening and the slowing you’ll see more support emerging than the hustling was giving.

There’s so much I could write here, but in the meantime I’m so happy to have you on my embodied writing series! And I’m so grateful for your honest share about where you find yourself right now. So many feel these things but struggle to name it.

💙 In the workshop I’ll be sharing how we can learn to orient to sensation, image and metaphor from the body as wisdom, not as something to fix 💙

Thank you so much Jo!! That's the thing isn't it? I've learned that lesson time and time again! Every time I push myself to the extreme, I get horribly sick! The universe is like: babe I have been telling you. And you didn't listen😂

I learn I forget I learn I forget. This is another time to remember lol 😂.

Yesterday a friend said: Your nervous system always brings you back to recalibrate. That's what I feel is happening right now. And I can't wait to dive inside the sessions!

Shruthi, I’m proud of you for taking the action you needed when you needed to! Should you have seen it coming? Nah, it knows how to hide itself from you better than anything.

But you still took action for self care. Bravo sister, bravo!!! Give yourself a hug for me. 🤗

Beautiful growth in how you are taking care of yourself. Not everyone will understand, but those who do will benefit too (and probably even those who don't). 💞

Thank you so so much Danni! Yeah I feel burn out is something we as a collective...a lot of people are experiencing it. Or are at least on the verge of it you know? God bless us all.

Just got back from back to back travel an and schedule intensity, and this looks like my near future. Thanks for the heads up!

So so happy to give you a heads up hahaha! Please take as much rest as possible!

Shruthi, so much of this resonates with me. You are such an inspiration in taking care of yourself without shame and guilt. I love how unapologetic you are.

Ugh I'm going through some of my own crap right now, but I just wanted to comment and say that I see you. You're an incredible person and I'm sending so much love and hugs.

Oh there was a lot of shame and guilt!!! Then I just became tooo exhausted to even feel them😂😂😂

I really hope you feel better soon! Uuuggghhhh what even is this year??? Wasn't it supposed to be awesome fire horse or some shit? It's been one thing after the other!!!!!!!

After Aries season the fire burned out!

Or things are actually catching fire IRL. Our gas dryer almost caught on fire because of bird built a nest in the vent. Birds were all okay and so were we but it was pretty scary to think that there might have been a fire in the house. Especially for someone who had a traumatic fire incident growing up.

Oh my gosh! So in 2 separate incidents 2 squirrels randomly jumped on our transformers and died...causing sparks to randomly come out of the fan in the living room right above my husband's head! Both times! We just changed our fan twice lol. It was so scary!

Oh my goodness! That sounds scary. And also sad and frustrating. Sounds like so much. So over it, right!?

This has such a permission-giving vibe for me Shruthi! Thanks for your honesty. After reading your post I feel "Maybe it would be a good idea for me to take off a week and fully rest for a change."

May was a rough month; some unexpected travel (I don't want to go near an airport for like ever ... taking the train.)

I'm in the process of creating a new service which I'm genuinely excited about but every time I think about putting an offer out I keep thinking of more things I need to learn and understand and it is SO exhausting!!

There are a lot of urgent inner voices telling me not to let up. Spirit is saying "You don't have to get it right to be in service. Are there smaller, easier things you can do now?"

Sending lots of love and appreciation to you.

Judy! I feel the same thing about travel! I did too much of it in Feb and March! If I have to pack anything again, I will puke 🤢.

Please take a week off. And you already know all the basics there's to know about getting started. You're awesome! And the idea wouldn't have come through if you didn't know enough already. However if you're exhausted, pls energise yourself first.

Thank you Shruthi. I needed to hear that.
